Updated COVID Safety Protocols – March 21st, 2022

As of March 21st, 2022, masks are optional in most areas of the Club.

While we are glad to see everyone's smiling faces, some may wish to continue to wear a mask even after restrictions are lifted. We encourage everyone to continue to act with their health and safety in mind, and to do what will make you most comfortable in our shared spaces.

Masks will remain mandatory in the Wellness Centre until April 27th under the ordinance of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.

All members and guests must self-screen for symptoms of COVID-19 before coming to the Club and should inform the Club if they test positive for COVID-19 and have attended the Club in the last 10 days. Please click here for more information on COVID-19 exposure guidelines.

What is close contact?

Close contacts (or higher risk contacts) include staff, visitors or patrons who were within two metres/six feet of the person with COVID-19, with or without a mask, for approximately 15 minutes or more, or who had direct contact with that individual while they coughed or sneezed.

CDC Mask Alert

CDC recommends that you wear masks in public settings around people who don’t live in your household and when you can’t stay 6 feet away from others. Masks help stop the spread of COVID-19 to others. Click here for more details.

Overview

  • Wear masks with two or more layers to stop the spread of COVID-19
  • Wear the mask over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin
  • Masks should be worn by people two years and older
  • Masks should NOT be worn by children younger than two, people who have trouble breathing, or people who cannot remove the mask without assistance
  • Do NOT wear masks intended for healthcare workers, for example, N95 respirators
  • CDC does not recommend the use of gaiters or face shields. Evaluation of these face covers is on-going but effectiveness is unknown at this time.
